Paul Pierce scored a game-high 26 points, as the Celtics returned from a disappointing road trip to rout the Washington Wizards, 108-83, at TD Banknorth Garden on Friday.

The Celtics went just 1-3 on a their recent four-game west coast trek, accounting for 60 percent of the team's losses this season. But Boston dominated Friday's contest in wire-to-wire fashion, as Rajon Rondo added 10 points and 14 assists, and Kevin Garnett had 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Lakers improved to 3-0 on the residency Friday when Kobe Bryant scored 40 points to lead Los Angeles in a 113-100 victory over the Utah Jazz.

The Raptors improved to 1-1 on the residency Friday when Andrea Bargnani finished with 19 points and six rebounds, as Toronto blew past the Houston Rockets, 94-73.

Chris Bosh also added 19 points for the Raptors, who lost guard Jose Calderon to a right hamstring strain in the second quarter.

Granger was 10-of-20 from the field with six rebounds and hit 13-of-16 free throw attempts including a 4-for-4 stretch over the final 30 seconds.
