  Airway Heights, WA (Sports Network) - Cristobal Cruz outlasted Orlando Salido in a 12-round split decision to gain the vacant IBF featherweight title Thursday night at the Northern Quest Casino.

  A late surge by Cruz (37-11-1, 23 KOs) pushed him to identical 116-112 decisions with Salido (31-10-2) gaining a 115-113 decision on the other card.
