• Fragomeni captures cruiserweight belt with victory over Kraj

  
  

  Milan, Italy (Sports Network) - Giacobbe Fragomeni captured the vacant WBC cruiserweight title with a technical decision over Rudolf Kraj on Friday.

  The bout was stopped in the eighth round when an unintentional headbutt left Fragomeni (26-1) with a cut.

  At the time of the stoppage, Fragomeni held a 77-74 advantage over Kraj (14-1) on the cards.

  Fragomeni came into the match as the No.2 contender for the belt, while Kraj was the No.1 contender.
