  • Gaughan, a Camping World Truck Series veteran, assumes the ride - formerly the No.64 - driven by David Stremme and Max Papis. The pair led the team to a top-10 finish in the 2008 Nationwide Series owner standings.

    Stremme will drive the No.12 Dodge for Penske Racing, while Papis will run a limited schedule in the No.12 Toyota in the Sprint Cup Series this year.

    "I'm pretty excited about that," Logano said. "It was a good pick me up, and we needed that as a race team. We're going to go out there tonight and try to stay up there and get that (owner) championship."   • Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Carl Edwards continued his winning momentum in the Nationwide Series by capturing the pole for Saturday's O'Reilly Challenge at the Texas Motor Speedway.

    The No.60 Roush Fenway Racing Ford driver turned in a qualifying lap of 28.708 seconds (188.101 m.p.h.).

  • All four series manufacturers were on hand as Roush Fenway Racing Ford drivers Carl Edwards and David Ragan, as well as Bryan Clauson for Dodge, Scott Wimmer for Chevrolet and David Reutimann for Toyota, turned laps around the .75-mile oval in the new car on Monday and Tuesday morning.

    He gave Joe Gibbs Racing its record-extending 15th Nationwide victory of the season, but the first since JGR's two teams were severely penalized for violations stemming from Michigan post-race inspection that led to indefinite suspensions of crew chiefs and team members.

    "Our car has been good since we unloaded it yesterday," Busch said. "We made some minor changes to it. The guys back at the shop really prepared a nice race car here this weekend." Jeff Burton secured the outside pole with a qualifying time of 41.024 seconds.

  • Edwards, who celebrated his 29th birthday yesterday, recorded his third Nationwide victory of the season and the 16th of his career. He also gave car owner Jack Roush his 18th overall victory at Michigan in NASCAR's national- touring series. Roush has scored 10 wins in the Sprint Cup Series, as well as four wins in both the Nationwide and Craftsman Truck Series at the two-mile track.

    "I'm just so happy that we won this thing," Edwards said. "We've been close here before.
